Our Leadership Team

James originated from Lancashire and lived in six different cities before being adopted as a Scouser over 15 years ago.

 

James has served on the leadership of City Church for seven years, was ordained in 2019 and became our Senior Pastor in September 2022.

 

His passion is to take the Gospel outside of the four walls of the church to those who don’t know Christ, and to see those who are already believers growing deeper in discipleship.

 

He has been married to Cathy for over ten years, and they have two girls.

 

James loves to BBQ and is an avid DIYer.

Cathy is married to James and together they have two children. She has a passion to see the younger generations following Jesus and loving the Bible. 

 

Cathy also coordinates our Home-group ministry and has a heart to see the church family enjoying community with one another and spurring one another on their faith.

 

She loves drinking tea with friends and reading a good ‘whodunnit!’

Paul is married to Caroline. He was born in Scotland but grew up on the South Coast. Since then he & Caroline have lived in the East & West, so he can truly say he is from the North, South, East and West!

Ordained in 2007, Paul was previously associate pastor at Nantwich Elim Church, and subsequently Senior pastor of Kensington Elim Church, Liverpool.

 

He and Caroline joined the team here at City Church in January 2022 as our two local churches began the process of merging.

Paul also works as a 1-2-1 teaching assistant in a local primary school.

​

He has a real heart for people of all generations and is passionate about digging deep into God's word. 

Caroline is married to Paul. She was born in Windsor, but grew up near Portsmouth, where she met Paul when she was training to be a nurse. She and Paul have 8 children together - who are mostly all now young adults now. Having home-educated her family and worked in Children's ministry for many years, she has a heart to see God's destiny fulfilled in young people's lives.

 

Caroline is our main church administrator - it's her who is likely to message you and who sends out our weekly updates. In her spare time she also works as an antenatal teacher with the NCT.

 

She is passionate about her faith, her family, all things child-birth, photography, & Tech'.
